24 Clock Hours of Pre-Service Training: Required for substitutes, volunteers, and contractors counted in the child/caregiver ratio. This includes 8 hours before being counted and 16 additional hours within 90 days as required by §746.1305.
What pediatric first aid training is required?
Pediatric First Aid with Rescue Breathing: Must be completed within 90 days and before having unsupervised access to a child in care, and the training must be kept current as required by §746.1315(a).
What pediatric CPR training is required?
Pediatric CPR: Must be completed within 90 days and maintained current as required by §746.1315(b).
What are the annual training requirements?
24 Hours of Annual Training: Required within 12 months of beginning duties and annually thereafter, covering specified areas as required by §746.1309 and §746.1313.
